  • How do you draw your art?
All pieces are hand-drawn by me using a 12.9 iPad Pro (4th generation) and an apple pen (2nd generation). I currently use Procreate. I use your photos as a reference when drawing. Better quality photos will result in more detailed drawings.
  • Where did you go to art school?
Never went to art school. I always enjoyed creating art using different mediums, digital art just gives a little extra freedom for what I can do.
  • Why do you draw so much realism?
I love drawing things as they are. A lot of patience goes into drawing as realistically as I can and pushing my limits. I do wish to be able to draw hyper realistic art, I just know that it is something that would take much more time than I currently have avaliable.
  • Can you draw cartoons or line art?
Yes I can, I used to draw a lot of cartoony characters. However, I think my skills have improved a lot since then and prefer realism. The downside to this is that when I go back to trying to draw cartoons, I now find that it takes me much longer than doing a realistic drawing.
  • How long does it take you to reply to questions/emails?
I do my best to check my emails on a daily basis (at night). I'll reply to most emails within a few hours.
  • How much do your commissions cost?
Prices depend on what you want me to draw and the level of detail you want. You can see all the prices listed in the shop. Price goes up for more detailed drawings and if you want more people in the drawing. All the prices are based on the average amount of hours it would take to get to that level of detail.
  • What do I do if I don't see what I want in your menu?
If you are unsure about what to select for what you want to commission or it isn't on the menu, contact me by email with the reference(s). It is possible that we can come up with a seprate price depending on your desires. You can request things you don't see on the menu, just contact me for a quote!
  • What is the process to place an order?
Here's an easy rundown of how to commission me: 1. Add all the options you want for your drawing (eg. a high detailed portrait, and complex background). 2. Contact me via email (waddles.art@gmail.com) and send me the reference(s) you want me to use to draw along with your order number as proof of payment. 3. I may contact you via email if I have any questions about your order details. I will then complete the drawing in 7-14 days depending on my workload. 4. I will email you the "final" drawing for your approval, in which you may request small changes until you are 100% satisfied with the drawing.
  • If I want more than one person in a drawing, do they need to be in the same picture together?"
No. Just send me the photos you want me to use as references for each person and I can combine them into one drawing.
  • Can I request a realistic drawing of my (cartoon) character?
Yes, just send the proper references and I'll do my best.
  • How long does it take you to start my order?
This depends entirely on how many orders I have to fullfill at the time. I will start the drawings in the order that I get them. It could be the same day you place the order, or a week later.
  • How long does it take to complete my drawing order?
The turnaround depends on how many portraits I am working on at the time, but I can complete a drawing in 7-14 days. I do all the drawings in the order I recieve them. If there is a specific date you need it by just let me know and I will see if I can accommodate (very likely that I can).
  • Can I request changes to the drawing after you finish?
Yes of course, any reasonable alteration can be requested until lyou are 100% satisfied with no extra cost. You may even request these changes long after you got your order if there is a tiny thing bothering you.
  • Can I use the drawing I ordered on my social media?
Yes! You can do whatever you want with my drawing except resell it for profit. You may post it, change it, share it, etc. That drawing is yours. If you post on social media I ask that you credit me (I won't be offended if you don't).
  • What payments do you accept?
I currently accept PayPal and credit. PayPal is preferred, but you may pay however you wish.
  • How much is shipping?
Shipping is free for my digital work around the globe and on Mars as long as you have internet. If you want to calculate how much shipping is to you, use the formula below: (your age) x (your favourite number) x (a number between 1-10) x (zero) = shipping cost
  • Do you give refunds?
I only will give refunds if I have not worked on the drawing you ordered. The time I worked on a drawing is something I cannot get back.
  • Do you accept Venmo?
Unfortunately I do not. I am from Canada and the Venmo app does not even let me create an account.
